On October 22 and 23, 2016, all generations of UP medical students organized UP Medical family trip project with the titled “Charity, Health Education and Team Building”.

The purposes of this project were:
– To increase the knowledge and skills in health education
– To share experiences among each other
– To build the culture of sharing
– To make the team united and work in team
– To build good relationship between juniors and seniors
This two-day event was conducted in Sihanouk Province; About 300 of medical students from all generations joined this event. Three main activities were focused in this event. The charity and health Education took place on the first day. And on the second day, team building activity was organized.
This event was financially and emotionally supported by University of Puthisastra, Samaki Medical Laboratory, Bacchus Energy drink, Mr. Pheng Vannak and medical students who participated in this event.

Health Education

Medical Students prepared the posters with short messages to educate primary, secondary and high school students at Steung Hav High School.
Many health topics of were introduced for different target groups:
– Primary School Students
Hands washing, nutrition and teeth brushing were educated to primary school students who are from grade 1 to 3.

– Secondary School Students
Students were educated about first-aid during electric shock, drowning and snack bite as these sometimes happens in their lives

Charity

Medical Students prepared some vitamin rice, soft drink and study materials such as books, pens, pencils, erasers, folder for all target students at Steung Hav High School.
Moreover, ball, A4 papers, soft drink, vitamin rice and posters were given to with school director as donation.

Team Building

All medical students were assigned to play different team work games. Team building games played during that event was Wheels century outdoor, Pipeline, Sack race/ Jump sack race, Magic shoes …etc. All these games not only created team work, but also created a lot of fun.

After the event, medical students make a lot of recognition among different generations and they are more united. Moreover, they have a sense of team work and develop culture of sharing.
