About the Role
The University of Puthisastra is seeking a skilled Back-end Developer to join our IT Operations team. You will design, build, and maintain the server-side systems that power UP’s digital platforms — from the student portal to internal management tools — ensuring they are secure, performant, and reliable for thousands of students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and back-end services using PHP and modern frameworks.
- Design and optimise relational database schemas (MySQL) for performance and integrity.
- Integrate third-party services and internal systems via secure APIs.
- Write clean, well-documented, testable code and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with front-end developers and stakeholders to deliver features end-to-end.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional back-end development experience.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, SQL, and version control (Git).
- Good command of English; Khmer fluency preferred.
