Our Mission

Educating Cambodia's Next Generation of Doctors

The Faculty of Medicine provides education in the art and science of medicine through in-class and online lectures, laboratory practice, clerkships, and internships — preparing graduates for safe, competent clinical practice.

8 Years, Four Phases

Curriculum Structure

From foundational sciences to clinical internship, the MD programme builds competence in four progressive phases.

  1. Year 1 — Foundation

    English, Anatomy, Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Embryology, and Research Methodology.

  2. Years 2–3 — Basic Sciences

    Physiology, Microbiology, Immunology, and Public Health, building the foundation for clinical study.

  3. Years 4–6 — Clinical Training

    Cardiology, Paediatrics, Surgery, Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, and other clinical specialties.

  4. Years 7–8 — Internship & Thesis

    Supervised clinical internship, dissertation completion, and preparation for the national exit exam.

A practising paediatrician with an MBA and a B.Ed alongside his medical degree, Asst. Prof. PROM Vireak leads the Faculty's academic strategy, its Harvard-network curriculum partnership, and its growing international collaborations.
