How to Apply

Three straightforward steps to begin your academic journey at the University of Puthisastra.

  1. Complete Your Application

    Fill in the application form with your background information and essay responses. Essays may be submitted in Khmer or English, typed or handwritten.

  2. Submit Your Documents

    Gather and submit the required supporting documents to the Admissions office. All documents must be originals or certified copies.

    • National ID card (original)
    • High School Exit Exam certificate (SALA KHAN verified)
    • Residence book (for scholarship applicants)
    • Khmer language certificate (international applicants)
  3. Meet the Admissions Team

    Visit the Admissions and Student Services offices at UP for personalised guidance. Our team is here to support you through every stage of your application.

What You'll Need

Entry Requirements

Ensure you have the following documents ready before submitting your application.

  • National ID Card

    A valid Cambodian National Identity Card is required for all local applicants. Original or certified copy accepted.

  • High School Exit Certificate

    High School Exit Examination certificate verified and stamped by your local SALA KHAN (district education office).

  • Application Essay

    A written essay about your background, goals, and motivations — may be submitted in Khmer or English, typed or handwritten.

  • Residence Book

    Required for scholarship applicants to confirm Cambodian residency and household income eligibility.

  • Language Certificate (International)

    International applicants must provide a Khmer Language proficiency certificate recognised by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport.

  • Transfer Documentation

    Students transferring from Year 2 onwards must submit official academic transcripts and a Transfer Application Form from their previous institution.

Scholarship Application Steps

  1. Complete the Scholarship Form

    Fill in the scholarship application form including background information and essay questions. Submissions in Khmer or English are both accepted.

  2. Submit Required Documents

    Bring your National ID card, High School Exit Exam certificate, and Residence Book to the Student Services office (E.12).

  3. Screening & Selection

    Applications are reviewed by Student Services and Faculty. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview before final selection.

  4. Join the UP Leaders Community

    Scholarship recipients become part of UP's student leadership programme with access to mentoring, training, and alumni networks.

The 2026–27 academic year intake is currently open. We recommend applying as early as possible as places in health science programmes are limited. Visit the Admissions office or apply online for the latest deadlines.
Yes. International applicants are welcome. You will need to provide a Khmer Language proficiency certificate recognised by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MOEYS), in addition to your academic qualifications.
No. Essays may be submitted in either Khmer or English. They can be typed or handwritten. We encourage you to write in whichever language allows you to best express yourself.
Yes. UP offers monthly instalment plans through ABA Bank and WING to make quality education financially accessible for all students. Contact the Admissions office for details on payment schedules.
Yes. Transfer applications for Year 2 and above are accepted. You will need to submit a completed Transfer Application Form along with official transcripts from your previous institution. Download the form from the section above.
New students receive 4 years of free English tuition, access to the UPOP e-learning platform, campus WiFi, a digital library, and dedicated Student Services support. Our admissions team is available Monday to Friday, 8 am–5 pm.
