Since 2006
The University of Puthisastra was established in Phnom Penh as Cambodia's first private health sciences university, with an initial intake of Pharmacy students.
Nursing & Midwifery and Dentistry faculties opened, broadening UP's clinical offerings and establishing the university's multi-disciplinary health sciences identity.
All health programmes received full Ministry of Health accreditation. UP became the first private institution fully co-regulated for all core health disciplines in Cambodia.
UP signed its 100th international MoU, cementing partnerships with universities in France, Japan, Australia, South Korea, and across ASEAN.
AD Scientific Index ranked UP #1 among all universities in Cambodia for research output and academic quality — the first time a Cambodian private university achieved this distinction.
Over 7,000 students enrolled across 7 faculties. UP's graduates lead Cambodia's public hospitals, clinics, and health agencies nationwide.
